Yeah the marin looks a really nice all rounder, i would love something similar but the car seems to eat all my money! if you want a really good all round chain, the kmc 710 and 710sl are very good, i had a 710sl for 2 years with no trouble on daily use.

Steel bikes seem to be making a bit of a comeback:

I'm getting on well with my alloy Specialized, but I'd love a nice retro styled titanium famed bike.

Is it wrong to lust over this bad boy?:

I might need to sell a couple of Minis to buy it, but it would get more use than the cars :0

Here's mine which I've just put together. A hydrid with 700c rims, too old for a cross country mountain buster or a racer designed in a wind tunnel! A Claude Butler before they went CBR shite. Just bought a few bits and lost some weight...........

Those hollowtech II chainsets sure do save some weight!

LOL

Kirk revolution, magnesium frame extracted from 1 tonne of seawater (Norsk Hydro) actually an MTB frame that Ive stuck 700c's on, the wheel's had disc hubs when they arrived so I made up a couple of brakets and put calipers on!

the fron deraliur has always been a nightmare on it, so Ive done away with it in favor of a sturmey CS-RK3.... new hub so i thought I may as well get a new rim so I can leave the old one intact as a spare...

its great, Ive gone from 7 to 27 speed, can tackle the hills properly now!

the brakes arent actually that good, they are just cheap cable discs, not like those big lethal hydraulic ones!

and we do have hills... Ive just been avoiding them!
