Potential future colour scheme:

With the turbo arches and wheels. What do you think??

Obviously it needs less rot and more metal first...

I remember years ago a guy in Southend running about in an ex-AA escort van that had been dropped with a set of turbo alloys on it. he kept the colour and even the lights on the roof though

There is a Post Office Vehicles club with a chap who can provide BT Decals, so if we go down that route (quite likely) we are good for them. It should also have them on the boot and the van number on teh door (I have that somewhere too - helpful chaps at the POVC).

The general plan is that we will run/thrash it over the summer, then pull the engine to fix what we've inevitably broken. While thats out I'll replace the front end and potential the rear if I get chance. Maybe it will get a home brew paint job and a better body kit. That's all down to time and money I guess.

Good to see you're being realistic *happy*
I assume you won't be copying the wheels and ride height of the Telecom van?

lol, it's bound to brake - I had a helped build it!

The crosswires will stay, until a set of Ronals appear for next to no money...

It will be a bused on the strip with it's track tyres on - well used A048s *smiley*. They are bound to brake the gearbox

The colour scheme is missing something. It needs a picture of a bird on either side *happy*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The dizzy (and drive) is gone in favour of a Turbo Phil plug.

The dash is back in and the gauges plumbed/wired in.

The megajolt ECU is in it's permenat home and the loom is nice and tidy under the bonnet.

We've sorted a load of little ellectical problems out and done a long list of little jobs. Nearly there now...

It's the original from van. Very chuffing loud when you've got your head next to it!!!!

You could be clever and stencil the Telecom logo on, but modify it to read "Turbocom".

We have a slight problem with the rev counter dropping out at the moment. Reckon we are going to have to drill the tacho pin on the edis unit, which means unwrapping the loom *frown*

Got a fair amount of the electrical gremlins sorted last night. Both rear fogs and the bulb in the switch sorted, rev counter running from the EDIS. Tidied the boot, put the alloy back on the front.

Unfortunatly it's not road legal, so we couldn't have a little spin in a side streeet. So I can't say that it drives well, makes boost and the drops make a good noise... ah well..

What trigger wheel you're using ?

I really like the fake names.

I got hold of a full set of the previous police scheme

I'm gonna use it and jumble the letters to write bOLIDE wich basically means fast car

Maybe not the best of ideas to keep police away from the engine bay ...

Rusty by nature

I think the trigger wheels is from MED (no doubt John will correct me), essentially the same as the one Tom offers.
