Andy how about usung a 90 bend and going out the bott of the diffuser with the bend exiting rearwards, it would only need a a 60mm hole, and you'd only have a small amount of tail pipe exiting

Just make sure you drill the hole in the correct place!

Hey Andy,
If you really need to cut a hole in the diffuser for the exhaust exit, just make sure its as far rearwards as you can, as this would effect aerodynamics the least.

Just be careful with that carbon dust! *wink*

I've just had a measure and I can have it exiting beside the diffuser.

yeah the dust seems to be especially harsh from it, I found that out the other day.

I do suggest with carbon dust. Goggles, a decent mask and either spray yourself in anti prospering or rub some talc powder on yourself.

That stuff had me itching for days! I only made the mistake once mind.

If you think carbon is bad try kevlar. Even itchier and a complete prick to get off. Thats the price to become bullet proof so it has its positives lol.

Just read the whole thread, really nicely finished build.

A have a lot of similar things planned for mine once the shell is repaired so i will probably be picking your brains quite a bit over the coming months.

Feel a bit inspired now, will be off to the garage tonight!

Car looking good. The rear ducting for the radiator looks a good idea.

PS..Thanks for loan of MIG welder. :)

I'm having a "mini" day today so I will take some pictures and do an update.

doesn't help that I'm completely skint so can buy anything for the car. Bloody engineering trade!

i know know what i am doing with my exhaust, if its good enough for a veyron its good enough for my mini.

Done a few bits here and there on the mini.

finished of my gear change assembly

fitted fuel tank

Ive been getting lots of bits fabricated so they will start appering on the car, i think its going to develop quite quickly from now on in if i dont say so myself *tongue*

Wow fantastic car, just finished looking through the full thread, should look amazing once finished.
I would not even know where to start with fabricating some of the things you have done.
I will keeping a close eye on this build.

While I'm on here I will just do a quick update.

I've now got all my pipes and hoses to run the water to the back of the car.

but I'm really struggling to find a suitable radiator to fit in the boot.

the box to hold the radiator is nearly complete just waiting for the fabricator to make the last few bits for it.

So once I've finished doing a bit of decorating at home I will be back on the mini and should have the cooling system complete.

Just need to finish the plenum and exhaust manifold that i've started, then it's exhaust and I'm really getting somewhere.
