You will need to make a smaller battery enclosure.

Are you not worried about it shorting out in that metal case though?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

been having trouble with the metro radiator trying to get hoses
that fit going from mini size to next some up.
metro one is now ditched.
i now have a brand new one which is exactly same size as metro one but off a rover 100 as the hose sizes are the same as a mini.
expansion tank should be made this week too.

the cars broken before I've even started lol.
engine is coming out the car tomoz as the flywheel doesn't seem to be sitting properly which means the starter is just locking on the fly and jamming the engine.....happy days

Can't you just whip the flywheel off in situ? Easy enough job with a removable front end.

Are you using the right starter motor with the right ring gear?

yeah my fly is the 129 teeth one which means it should be early type starter?
the flywheel is sitting to far in and because of that the starter motor when engaging is locking the engine.
if i spacer the starter with some washers it then turns over....

I thought the 129 tooth flywheel needed the pre-engaged starter? the newer one?

I've tried both starters and neither work lol.
I've compared it to my mates mini and my fly is sitting to far towards the block compared to my friends.
