How do you work out where to drill the holes? I can't find a decent datum to measure from.

pretty much just guess,

can you reference a distance to a bolt hole?

I've got nothing better than a steel rule to measure with and there isn't a bolt hole that I can get a good measurement from on both sides. Best guess might be my only option.

Edit: Actually I'm talking bollocks, I might be able to get a reasonable measurement with my verniers.

Managed this with a bit of guessing and bit of measuring. Worked great, the bearing knocked straight out with no messing about.
