Thanks for the box offer D4VE, but I think I need to have that chat with fusion first. Appreciate all the input.

I've decided to go down the fusion route, thanks for all the advice above and the offer of the box D4VE. The engines out now and I'm starting the re-build. Getting a bit confused about piston choice. Would these be ok? The Std mini spares 3 ring +60 flat tops? http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/...63-40.aspx|Back to

Have a look on CalverST I think he does some pretty tough oversized 998 pistons

Can you get the CR low enough with +60 flat tops?

The best pistons are the Omega +20s that MED sell. But also the most expensive

What's the next best option Wil_h the whole build is getting quite expensive now so if there is a good alternative to the Omega 20's I'd like to research that.
May be interested BronkoMini, once I've got my head around the comp ratio piece.

The ones you link to are probably ok, but will need a dish machining in them and the circlips replacing with 'piston buttons'. They're also a really old design.

The Calver ones are a better option https://www.calverst.com/webshop/engine/cst...0-060%E2%80%9D/

You may even be able to get Keith to machine a small dish in them?

So far I have pistons sorted, manifold option sorted. Chosen a cam... any ideas on oil pump options for a turbo 998? All of teh turbo pumps are for 1275's that I have seen so far. Also any views on timinig chains - I'm currently quite drawn to the simplex chain that Calver ST offer rather than duplex - any thoughts?
