I have been sufficiently concerned at the proposed changes to sell my turbo A35 and move on to something else. Difficult decision after 38 years with the car Dont do something like that just because of something like this ^ On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:

Might be a stupid question, but what if you take an MOT exempt car for an MOT and it fails? can it not be driven on the road until it passes?

I tend to agree that having an MOT is a good safety precaution. But you may be better goiong to a friendly MOT station and asking for a 'safety inspection' or a 'safety service' rather than an MOT.

Mine will fall under the exemption next year and personally im going to get it tested because i know i miss things or make stupid mistakes. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Sorry to hear you are selling the blobule David, like you I am concerned, and worst case would turn mine into a race car only, but it would lose half the point of it. 'Where does the engine go?' |

What I dont get is they're making the MOT rules more strict, but go ahead and say cars over x years old dont need one at all?

Sure you all know this by now but you need to register for it to be MOT exempt otherwise you'll still need one.

You only need the V112 if you tax the car at a post office.
