You haven't got a loom with the ballast built into it have you ? Or is that just on later cars ?
I had a very week spark when I first built mine, so I bypassed the loom and ran a separate wire straight to the coil.

not that im aware Phil, but i did build the megajolt loom myself and the power feed to the EDIS and the coil pack come straight off the starter solenoid

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

Do you think it is ignition related?
Does the spark die when you give it some throttle.
Could it be fuel?
Is the map known to be ok?
Is your missing tooth in the right place. (Sorry, I've forgotten where this is)

Just some thoughts for checking

if the power feed is straight off the solenoid ,would that not mean they are always live , even with the ign off ?

also is the barb on the plenum , where you had the blow off valve connected ,not supposed to be connected to the fuel pressure regulator boost sensing port ?

also maybe time to try another coil pack and edis .

also have you a good pressure gauge on the carb now ?

All sorted the engines running and revs nicely. I am using a HIF44 N/A carb, which requires pressuring, so i t-pieced off the plenum to regulator pipe and bobs your uncle. Thanks robert for that tip.

Just got to bleed the brakes, fit the dash and give it a good wash ready for the MOT Friday.

It passed the MOT thanks to a very understanding tester. Few tweeks and it looks like I'm going to make the London to Brighton this year.

I'm not sure if I've got my dump valve vacuum take off right. I've got it pumped into the megajolt/boost gauge pipe, however it's not reading negative pressure. I ran the engine with the dump valve disconnect and the bossy gauge was reading negative pressure, but as soon as I connect the dump valve it barely moves.

Ideally you want them all connected to separate sources on the inlet.

I had a similar thing Chris. My DV needed it's own take-off straight off the manifold.

You can tap the flat spot on the metro turbo manifold too. It does mean manifold off though.

It only went and made it there and back with no issues !!!!

It ran well, but does need a good setup. Loved how no one gave it a bit of interest until the bonnet was up.
Such a fun car to drive.
