seems nuts to break it up IMHO... buy a rear panel and boot floor... done ! you even have the option to go retro with a Mk1 style arse end now.

I do agree with everybody's notion to fix it, half boot floor, one rear valance to bolt on with the bumper bolts, one back panel and a second hand bootlid, really wouldn't take much work to fit, borrow a spot welder after drilling the old rear quarter off and most of your damage is fixed! Thanks for the support guys. I've taken a deposit on the complete engine and turbo setup, which has made my mind up. Time to move on it think, I've enjoyed every minute of turbo mini ownership, and you guys really are a great bunch, have helped me out no end over the years. I'll be sticking around and no doubt will be posting up some pics of the new toy (whatever that may be )

Haha thanks 👍. Cage is available, it's in a bit of a sorry state as I started to rub it down to repaint, then it got left in the garage where it's started to rust. It's only surface rust though. I could get it shot blasted all back to bare metal or sell it as it is cheaper, upto you? It will need 2 spreader plates welding onto the rear tubes where they bolt to the rear wheel arches as it was welded into the previous mini, and was cut out.
