Erm, when it says you must enlarge the outlet on the fuel tank....how does one go about such a thing?! Bigger fuel hose is simple...but do u have to enlarge the metal nipple thing on the tank? Also, for the return feed, do u simply stick a fuel hose on the breather pipe of the tank? Or is that still required for the tank to breath? If so, how do you modify the tank to take a return hose? (drill hole n weld a nipply bit on it?!)

Regarding the MPI fuel tank... I heard the pump is internal and not man enough for a turbo. Does this mean you just used the MPI tank because it has a pre drilled return?

You heard incorrectly. The MPI tank is more than up to the job. The SPI tank has a lower rated pump that is OK up to around 1 bar boost pressure.

I think it'll do more than that Tom - I know of one guy who took the SPI tank'd turbo upto 16psi.

Thanks for above info on MPi tank. Two questions... I am about to modify a 7.5 gallon tank to fit a return line, do I weld in an 8mm short piece of pipe or can it bolted and sealed. If I have to weld the tank do I need to purge the tank before welding? The tank is clean with no smell of petrol - or maybe someone can explain how to fit the return line otherwise? Thanks.
