It heated the coolant rather than cooling the oil. Stubs weren't bad, just a little bit of damage on the very ends. Water flowed through it well enough. That's the whole point though is it not? the coolant removes the heat from the oil, IE the oil heats the coolant......... On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Yes Colin, but not in a way that is detrimental to the cooling system. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I do have a super duper alloy rad though; I should contact Flan and ask him how he found temps although, to be fair, his experience with it may be extreme given race lengths etc as opposed to my odd run |

Water one could work for you then maybe? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

The Peugeot oil cooler is long and thin like that Mercedes one and is an oil to air cooler. |

My Peugeot oil cooler is an intercooler - I am more senile than I thought.

Sherpa vans had a 3 or 4 row oil cooler as standard. Just the job if you can find one. |

Well, after all the chat, and in particular, a comment from Tadge44, i came up with a couple of OE options, one being saab and the other a volvo unit. Ebay options were limited and i plumped for cost as my deciding factor and picked up a saab cooler for £20 including the post.
