Hi Paul, what do you think of these injectors ?

There the ones that I use as primaries on the 1293. Good price.

Can this work as a cam sensor with MS3X ? I was thinking of using just one channel and incorporate it underneath the distributor cap. It only gives digital signal.

No.

All you need is a square wave digital signal, 1 pulse per 2 rev cycle.

Hi Paul, I contact the seller you gave me from Ebay but it seems like he doesn't post to my country, so I found two sensors which are similar to what you sent me. Do you think they are good for cam sensor ?

What do you suggest for the ignition part Paul ? I saw some coil packs from trigger-wheels.com but I really don't know which is the best system for the Mini.

There is no "best". Just a number of options with their own pros and cons.

For boosted applications and maximum spark power, I use GM D585 LS6 individual coils with built in ignitor that connect simply to the MS3X ignition outputs.

You could also use the Ford EDIS coil pack connected to the standard MS3 ignition outputs, although you would need to ensure that the MS3 was built with a second ignitor.

So if I buy a Ford EDIS Coil Pack and an independent module I still need an MS3 with a second ignitor ?

I read about VAG logic coil pack being weapon of choice lately..

You mean Volkswagen Yo-Han ?

VAG stands for Volkswagen Audi Group so their parts are just referred to as VAG parts.

The logic coilpack Yo-Han mentions is described on page 92 of the MS3X/V3.0 hardware guide (click on manuals at the. top of the MS-E forum boards).

The thread on here Yo-Han remembers is most likely between myself and Phil R as we both have one of these coilpacks to experiment with.

Google the VAG part number, 06A905097. I can't find the thread, but in short, it's a good option well documented in the Megasquirt manuals. A minor problem for us is that new 6 pin plugs are harder to find in the UK.

Hi guys, its been a while since I was here. I have made up my mind of buying an MPi manifold. Can you please identify the three objects encircled in the photo ? I'm not so familiar with this type of manifold and haven't ever seen one in my country. To my knowledge only three Mini MPi's have been imported throughout the years to Malta.

Blue is an idle air control valve. The red is the fuel pressure regulator. The green is the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor.

To be honest, these parts are fairly common on many engines.

Yep I know but wasn't able to identify which one is which and I wanted to make sure before actually purchasing one. Thanks mate :)

One question. Do you know if the idle air control valve on this type of manifold could be operated with a Megasquirt MS3X ?

Also since this manifold has both a TPS and a MAP, which is the best of the two to be used as a load parameter ?

The Rover IACV may work with the MS3, but I have always swapped them out for Peugeot item, part no. A95269.

Best to use MAP if it is avaliable. The MS3 has a built in MAP sensor, so you do not need the Rover sensor.
