Hmmmm that's what I'm starting to think!! And If I'm honest I don't think he checked what she's boosting at! Didn't touch a vacuum hose!

I'm now thinking partly reason for the rings going is the compression!! As you look at the piston you can partly see the ring down the side!!

It sounds like you're both at fault unfortunately.

Get it rebuilt, working out the compression ratio and how much boost you want to run. Fit an intercooler, mapable ignition and an afr gauge. Then take it somewhere decent.

Got the head off and appart, going todo valve stem seals whilst it's all off! As its sat for so long! Then that should take me to payday then I can start on the block! Anyone recommend any rolling road in Suffolk, essex, Norfolk??

Should have 90% of it done before going to the RR
Did you gap the rings?

Ditto everyone else, electronic/ mappable ignition to retard the timing
Fueling can be done at idle pretty effectively using colourtune
Then a WIDEBAND AFR gauge will ensure you don't lean out over the rpm and help you choose a decent carb needle
Then bring one needle either side to be modified

Pick a rough power output and boost pressure you want and work out your compression ratio from there
