The thing I find with the belts is that it's the length that is the most important factor. I buy fairly cheap ones that are the same size as the B&D belts and they last OK.

Is the black and decker one best?

Has anyone got/used a silverline one?

resurrecting this one!

I've finally plucked up the courage and decided to learn how to weld and do some bodywork. Having some trouble grinding down some old welds ready for the new panels.
The welds in question are right in the corners, i'm finding a sanding disc in a grinder too big to focus on just the welds and a die grinder with a burr too aggressive... Is a powerfile what I need here? And any recommendations on what grit is best for the job?

I always use 120grit with mine. You might get in there with a power file side on, but a 2"sanding disc and roloc disc on a die grinder would be better.

As an update, i'm now using one of these instead.

I find it as good as the B&D swivel head is nice and it takes the same size belts. The price is the most appealing part though *wink*.
