I was trying to find factory spec but if I can't then yes we can of course measure it.

Not sure if its just me, but I'd be worried about the areas on that crank next to the big ends, there's notva lot of material left, and under a boosted application I'd be worried that it could break.

Ye of little faith! *smiley*

You obviously see things different to me Carl. I see a light crank capable of a great throttle response. This matched to the rods I have being machined and some nice lightweight omega piston should make for a nice lightweight rotating mass. I'll be getting the entire rotating assembly re balanced once I have all of the stuff I need. It should hopefully respond as required and NOT go bang :)

crank will be fine, its rpm that cayses issues rather than power usually

Fair enough, sounds like a nice little setup, i suppose you only really ever see cranks of that spec in high revving n/a motors that aren't used often or get rebuilt often (ie between race meetings)

I dont see your engine lasting all too long with that crankshaft. Bearings and the link wont like it.

whats the stroke on that crank mate

im interested in these light weight rods

its surprising the "feel" of light weight rotating assembly has compared to STD

its like putting a short final drive ratio but you actually get somewhere not just revving if you know what im saying

whats the plan for clutch and fly and damper? KAD stuff and the dubble verto setup?

There must be some hours in that crank... I would want a glass panel in the block so I could see it :)

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I had Oz from OAP sort out four of these little beasties for me😊

632 grams each, Turned down/lightened big ends. Radiused/stress relived. Modified for ARP bolts. Oil spray for underside of piston crown. Balanced end to end after each stage.

Yeah I had a good chat with him when I collected the crank from him. He seems like a nice guy and very knowlegeable about electronics (GP Systems) He was telling me about his paddle shift. I think hes going to use this on his R1 conversion. I'll be contacting him when its time to wire the rascal :)

How many holes are in those big end journals!? I'd be a little concerned at their position in the high pressure region of the journal. Cross drilling just doesn't mean drilling the oil way at an angle to the original, it also needs careful consideration as to where it is in the oil film pressure transients.

I've seen it before, and I don't think, in fact I know it's not right.
