The problem with the choice is that you wouldn't have any if it was a free choice.

Luckily I had a Mondeo on my list. I got the top spec one and it was less tax than a povvo spec german car. All the German stuff came with nowt, my Tit X has touch screen satnav, electric everything, sports seats and buttons all over the steering wheel. I'd have another one tomorrow. New one is out if not now then soon.

I have sworn never to have a vauxhall, but from that list, a well spec'd Cavalier might be the best choice.

If it's one of the brand new a3's they're quite comfortable and roomy for what they are. I can get some interior shots for you if you want some.

Actually that's a point, is it the a3 hatch or the a3 saloon you're allowed?

Have you been offered an allowance in lieu of a car?

They don't allow you to use your own car, so no allowance.

V why would I want a car where all three pedals are up against the sill and the indicators don't latch?

The indicators you get used to very quickly. I wasn't keen when I bought my 5 series after once trying a Vectra with awful indicators.
But on the BMW it is easy, push it lightly you get 3 flashes. Push it so you feel a "clunk" it will indicate continuously. And this is the bit most folk would get confused with till you get used to it. To stop indicating push it the same way again. It works well and is simple once you understand it.

yip, currently driving my 530 and an Astra "h". the bmw has the feel of the indicators just right, i keep pusing the ones on the astra too hard, doesnt seem as intuitive. it di take me *ages* to get over the whole push it the same way to cancel thing. but now its natural.

Because of all the cars you're listing it's the better car to drive, that's why.
Want understeer and awful steering feel. Go ahead, buy an A-class or an A1.
As mentioned, the indicators on the BMWs are perfect....Sorry *wink*

I drive hire cars n fleet vehicles for a living and i like the passats over any audi now a days.. i know there pretty much same but vw seam better quality over audi at the moment but youve said 1.6 *oh well* and we dont have the smaller engined ones so i dont know what that would be like? So with that out of the way it does leave the merc! And as that seams to be your 1st choice anyway looks like you know what its gonna be...

I've had it confirmed that I'm in band c and there are no fleet cars available, so it's long term hire car/go kart from Tuesday.

A class is still top of my list with a3 in second place.

Anybody want to buy a nice A6 avant?

Give you £6k for it.

ill go for the a3 anny time ( although i had one who broke down 2 days after i sold it... do not know how they drove it but always ran fine for me)

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Lisa is looking at a community nursing job, so a 2.7 v6 barge isn't the most appropriate car for that, plus she can't afford the fuel *wink*

P.S. John boy go suck my cock.

Do you fancy upgrading to a decent one Rab? Still has the original front bumper *wink*

Made the decision to keep mine this afternoon having splashed out on a new set of tyres. That will do me another 9 months anyhow
