was looking to see how to identify later cams and what was in my motor and found that the MG metro cam that I need has a recessed band after the first lobe.... I remembered a few year ago I had acquired some mini bit from my wifes cousin when he moved house... so I searched through the box and found these

Two Mg Metro cams one very good and one with slight surface rust ...... How about that for luck...

Like the fan, looks good. Have you decided where to fit the boost gauge yet?

Good idea to sell the unwanted bits, all helps towards the build :). I've got the downpipe in the boot of the car, keep meaning to bring it round for you.

A stone chip covered turbo box might not be the best idea?

Bought some heat shield mat and sourced a fuel pressure regulator on Ebay... James brought down the
turbo down pipe today aswell..... Also cleaned the ring grooves on the pistons and fitted the new rings..

Earlier in the week I fitted the cam and crank to the block...

done a bit more work on the head, ground down the guide towers a bit more

Had a look at the valve seats and decided to get them and the valves triple angle cut..

Took the head to Welham engineering who also do work for MED , they quoted £96 for triple angle valve and seat cut including full lapping in...
