How Rude!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

A likely story!

Has anyone got a pic of a green packet genuine baulk ring?

Mostly interested in one showing the inside 'teeth' for comparison.

put them on a flat surface to check they are flat, the heat treating can warp them, and if they are warped they wont sit on the gear properly, so wont grip it.

try them on the cone and check they feel like they sit right... and also have clearnace behind and dont bottom out... also they shhould feel like they grab if you push them on and turn them.

Hmm interesting. I always thought the sharper ones were better as these are what all of the originals I have pulled out of old boxes have been like including the old set I have in front of me now. The green pack ones are also like this. The cheapo £7ish Minispares ones are squarer.

To be honest. The green bag ones look best to me. The heat treatment seems to have been done before the teeth were machined so they should still be round and they grip the gear cones best.

6 notch ones are also better than 3 notch,

All of these are 6 notch.

I'm going to go for the green bagged ones. I hope they dont fall apart. The 'incredible sulk' will be well pissed off. Lol

I'm sure they'll be fine... but maybe slap an LCB on and try it up the road before all the pipework goes back?

I'm pretty confident. The gearset is built up now so we'll see.
