we had one in the workshop for years but had to get rid when we lost the storage; i've been thinking it would have been a nice car to have these days. If i recall, it was sold for peanuts and all it needed was a starter to get it going again

Actually did some work for this car over the weekend (thanks for being my glamorous gormless assistant Andy!).

Stripped a couple of donor gearboxes down ready to build a clubman SC box for it (going to have an ATB in it now instead of a x-pin and a 3.2 FD).

More importantly I now have electricity in my garage! Just got the paint the floor then I can get my bench and tools in!

I'm so excited to all my tools and bench back! I need to try and keep the place tidy so am looking for inventive storage methods.

This is what I have been looking into over the last couple of months. I think I have found what works for me now! I have got 2 halfords roll cabs for nuts, bolts and bits, both have kitchen work top on them. Then there's my new big roll cab for all my tools which I can work on top. Then for my lock up, I got a very good deal on a Blue Point tool trolley with some tools in it.

Yep lights are really good! Got a pair of these:-

http://www.totalwarehouse.co.uk/products/T...%252d-IP65.html

And white walls, got to paint a bit higher to finish the job (ran out of paint) and paint the floor.

Thinking about putting up tool boards and shelving above my bench but that can all come later.

EDIT: Oh and I guess I ought to get a radio and a titty calendar in there at some point!

Paint on the floor *smiley*
Ex-bus depot stuff what they used to paint the servicing bays in so should be durable enough for a mini (and it was the right price £0).

Thinking about painting up the first brick (idea from paul w) and maybe a second coat on the floor but not sure it needs it?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

2nd coat on the floor and painted the first brick up for a neater line. Also thanks to Andy and Davo for helping me get my toolbox and bench from the yard. I just need to turn all those boxes of crap into a working car now!

I still need a clock, radio and titty calendar though!
