Stevie do you have any under bonnet shots? What sort of diff do you run? I am looking a V8 from the Chev stable for my other project and was looking at some of the LS crate engines. I'd need a 9" to go with it through and the weak pound is putting me off at the moment.

I guess I should say buy the mag for some photos lol

It's an 8.8" axle with Ford Torsen diff. You'd need some extreme power to need a 9", but then if buying from scratch it's hard to know which is the best value overall.
A guy in England had the Ford axle when I was looking to buy something so just took it. With hindsight not sure it was the best route, but as always you learn along the way.
But it certainly does work fine.

A 9" would be nice for the front loader aspect, but other than that probably no real reason that I'd want to change. Best option would be an 8.8" or 9" based IRS, but that'd be a huge amount of work again and cash.

The 8.8" can be found in the UK on Ford Explorers and some other jeeps, so they are a viable option and wouldnt be overly expensive if you can find one.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
