That photo is just waiting for a big gust of wind to blow lots of sand around that open block. Not sure there is much sand around on salt flats. I think we should aplaud there efforts. Everybody commenting on this thread about how they could do it better should keep quite and go and do it better themselves. Although we all seem to think this is not that difficult I for one think it is. How many times have I heard people say "I ran out of gears at 120, but if I canged the diff I would get 140 easy...." Well it just doesn't work like that. I really hope that they get to their target, but just beating the record will be impressive. Good luch to them. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

Good point W & B. Like you say at least they are having a go, and not just typing on a key board what should and could be done like many others. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

very good. It makes me want to have a go. just not in the USA. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

There's one of my units in there (an I/O Extender) connected to the MS3. There's also a black Opel that's running there with an MS3 and an IOx. |

I have absolutly no idea. But having looked at it before, there are hundreds of different classes all with slighly different regs, try here for info.

151 is damn good going for a thou, be interesting to see what they could do with a 1.3... maybe they would be limited by rev's? On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

Ultimately turbo and tuning will dictate power. Power delivery might change, but for this sort of racing that hardly matters over peak numbers. 9.85 @ 145mph

Just what I was thinking. you build an engine to do the job you want. I'm pretty sure that the engine they used would be slower up a hillclimb in my car than my engine. But plainly they have more power.
