Me, Andy and Davo are going down tomorrow night be we are staying in a Hotel not camping.

Could perhaps meet for a quick pint?

That said, after the sound testers last year I actually phoned the circuit today and requested that a pair that people that know what their doing carry out the testing. last year was a joke.

Gates open at 9am if you are not trading or running in the 9am sessions.

Tim, Me John and Davo are in a travel lodge between J17 & 18 of the M4. I'll PM mine and John's number so you can get hold of us if you want to sort out a beer or two.

We're only just down the road. We talked about going for a curry. Happy to meet up for a TM Social.

I'll probably be driving anyway as I may have to shoot home if wifey drops the sprog unexpectedly...

Hmm was an interesting day for me to say the least.

Arrived and promptly failed the sound testing, over an hour of pissing about later culminated in me spending £85 on a new silenced center section and rear silencer from maniflow.

Got out to do my first session, and the gear linkage snapped. Luckily it broke leaving the car in 4th so completed the session like that!

Repaired that and went out for the 2nd session. The damage here was a little more terminal! A shift from 4th to 3rd slowing for one of the chicanes resulted in 3rd gear stripping and much metal shrapnel flying about. Hopefully it'll just be a case of rebuilding the gearbox, but it didn't sound good!

Expensive times ahead!

Where was the tm stand ? I spotted 1 turbo'ed mini all day

It was a good day and nice weather to boot....
Good to see Carl and wheels/shiny bits.

I did think Andy was brave knocking back some lunch before jumping in the car with me.. I mean who knows I could have been a Robert behind the wheel. Luckly I'm not and we had a sedate drive in the country side until some side ways action, that via more luck than judgement we managed to stay in the correct direction. Not true for the car behind me that went for a trip on the grass. So looks like somebody's car must have made a small deposit o.n the track.

Tyres, car and brakes held on well. Gearbox not so as in two sessions I had a box of neutrals for a while? Amd the temp was creeping up on the way home. A quick check shows exhaust gas in the rad,so its a head off job. So that sorts the winter projects sorted.

Nice to meet Andy and john and see Carl. Much respect for Ben at crewes missiles who blew and engine on his first run, Baught one at the show, fitted it and was going on track as I was leaving.

Would have liked to have gone but o had to stop myself so i didnt go on track saw a few minis when i was going back home from newbry giving it some beans didnt see any or hear any turbo motors though
