Coming from below would mean that the nice cool inlet air has to pass close to the manifold and turbo. Not good.

Paul, i was trying to calculate how many cc's per port i would need for say 200 and 250bhp but i have no idea how to calculate the pulse widths of said injectors, what sort of figures have you been working too? Yes i moved to the darkside

You can now get high impedance 1600cc/min pencil injectors, but I'm not sure of the performance at low pulse widths. The 1600cc ones, usually shorties are gas injectors they modify for petrol use. Not ideal and why Injector Dynamics stopped using them. They only sell the ID1000 and ID2000 now. I recently fitted a set of 2000's to a car as the 1000's were too small. And quite amazed to see it still idles happily at stioch !! Very impressed with them. That's with Motec 2000's only come in the shorty style, but usually have adaptors for the normal length fitments. As for the original item. What about making a wooden or similar prototype and having them cast ? They'd still require some final machining, but might work out a lot cheaper. Paul, Do you remember what BSFC and duty cycle you were using to come up with that number. That seems to be about 50% more than what I would expect. Jean |

It was based on the 998Ti that have 120hp from 960cc/min per port with a max 8ms pulse Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

In sorting out the CAM software for the billett bosses, Sturgeo has found a full working version of the SW Flow Simulation software.

Latest update on this is that the Mill is now converted to CNC and we are working on the G-Code to start making a couple of prototype injector bosses.
