is that 2 different types of exhaust valve?
cyl 1ex valve looks like a regular stainless one but 2/3/4ex valves look like the sodium filled ones

Will scrape paint off gasket surfaces

Wanted to see what it's going to look like, didn't like the black head so painted it red.

Thats looking good.

I'd be inclined to change all of the valves so they are the same type though.

possibly, you may need to get the valve guides sorted aswell the sodium valves have a thicker stem

Rite been in the man cave tonight, the misses is in a mood as usual lol.
Whilst I'm waiting for payday (more engine bits) I thought I'd start striping the front subframe. Going to fully pollybush it.

Depends what your plans are.

You can do a relatively conservative overbore on them and they are tough.

It's 1293 ATM, there are still honing marks so I'm just going to get new rings.

It must of been 1380 then sleeves incerted.
I wasn't sure if sleeving tie block would be beneficial.

Some were sleeved from factory, if the bores are good stay at 1293, but a +40 1310 can could be done easily enough.

After spending the day cleaning the subframe and not getting anywhere iv decidide to have it shot blasted. I'm either going to get it galvanised for £40 or powdercoated.
