Don’t think there is enough preload is there, but would that not give no boost at all ?..

That'd probably push the wastegate open a little bit under the slight pressure on the wastegate from the turbo, and the exhaust gasses. Wind it in another 3/4mm and see if you notice any difference. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Will do when I put It all back together, do you know what kind of seal is needed between these two mating surfaces, when I striped it down first time, I was able to put one half in my lath and face it up, but struggled to get other flat..

Yeah you need more preload, the width of the pin should be enough. Try it with more preload, if you still have no boost disconnect the pipe to the actuator and try it again. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

Not sure if there is a gasket there, if there wasnt to begin with and you fit one, the wastegate might not seal up properly when closed as that gasket looked quite thick. I'd use this if it were me http://www.gbdriver.co.uk/index.php?main_p...d43a3b340a917d0 On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

if youve skimed that housing that bolts on the flap may contact the turbo on the piss adn not seal, iirc theree is an amount of wibble on it though so it can seal flat. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

Hi Guys a quick update striped down the turbo, could not find a lot wrong with it, the turbo its self was a bit tight from being stood in my sons garage for a number of years, I'm happy to report that I freed up the turbo and put more presser on the waste gate and now it spins up OK, not road tested it yet, but we can now hear the dump valve, thanks for your help guys..
