Cheers for the comments.
RTS clutch: I have just bought a MED Verto flywheel.
I have just searched through loads of clutch stuff on here. What is the favorite friction plate for use with a RTS for road use up to 200 curlies? I already have one of these I could use? Any use?

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

We had one of those plates in the upside down skip's verto flywheel. Did the job nicely, you just had to line it all up on the primary gear before tightening the nuts up on the cover as the verto takes 190mm plate.

Rest of the engine is assembled and it has taken me ages to get just right (I hope).

When the clutch is done it will be nice to get the engine off that stand (it's been on there for about 2 years lol).
Next will be the cylinder head.

This came from Stuart Gurr. 36x29 and supposed to give me a CR of 8.3:1 which I will check. It was made to go with his Supercharger kit. I have no doubt it is a nice cylinder head and I would like to use it for this turbo engine if possible.

The only doubt I have is the combustion chamber shape. Beak or de-beak. I searched on here and never did manage to get to the bottom of that conundrum. Ian Hargreaves was very helpful when I chatted to him, he says I will get detonation if I run high boost with this type of head.
Thoughts please......

Some progress. Rts built up.

Ready for head to be fitted

Beaks still there, hope this works out. Chambers are 23 cc. CR calculated as 8.2:1, just what I need.

Loving the car and build mate, did you get a respray done on the car, as it looks like amazing job. If so, if you don't mind me asking could you PM me the details of where the respray was done.

Cheers

Bobby

It's painted RD23 maroon, an old 60s colour. I like the other traditional mini colours too but you don't often see maroon.
I sprayed it in Celly for the second time about 4 years ago. It's not perfect but has a very deep shine. I think I put too much paint on it, there is the odd hairline crack in the paint here and there .

Hey Daz
Thats looking very nice indeed!
I have a soft top, side valve morris minor in a colour very close, in my case it was a Rolls Royce colour.
Do you have an email for Stuart handy?
Regards
Colin
