Looks good mate i also have a 30 but a black one. That will probably be the car the turbo engine im building will go in (well first). I am building my engine around the GT1544 turbo too but with a 12g940 head. the engine the thirty has in at the moment had a modified 202 on it but not built to turbo.

i got a carbide burr today, only a small 3mm one but i thought id have a quick go to see what its like, just tried to smooth out the casting marks, and i think i had a smoother finish off the burr than when ive gone over it with a stone. apologies for the pic quality

cool yeah i use burrs and then finish off with some home made tools and some emery. I would open out the throat around where the pushrods are as this is where the restriction starts.

I'm just trying to clean up the casting imperfections first to see how I get on. If I feel confident once I've done that I mite go at it again to try and improve it a little bit. Cheers for the comments

Uh-oh, the tinkering has started. Were the 32 bananas not enough Wez?

They weren't mate no, don't quite want to aim for your level of power though, as we saw Saturday things get a little scary! Lol
