While some of you were off galavanting at bingley i was getting a bit done on the. Ew daily, ive stripped the back end down and theres a few bits of tin worm. New rear subframe and brake lines are required. Ive removed all the loose shit and used some curust bollox then a quick lick of red lead follow by stone chip followed by paint.

Ive also fitted a repair panel to the rear quater using andys joggler which i have to say is a wicked bit of kit.

Few pics of progress.

Right Fellas, little update. Progress has been really good, the rear subframe was totally shot so I sourced a good second hand one. I replaced all the brake lines and hoses with new standard parts. Ive also fitted Polyflex Bushings on the back and got the full subframe and suspension back on yesterday. Ill take some pics of the rear subframe tonight and post them up later. Ive also stripped the Front Subframe and its had a nice shiny coat of Chassis Black paint.

The Passenger top arm and Pin need replacing as the pin had totally siezed inside the arm forcing me to cut the ends off with the grinder, Ive tried removing the stuffed pin but all the needle rollers have come apart and are holding the whole lot in. So rather than piss around i think it will be easier to get a new arm.

Ive also rubbed down and resprayed the bulk head in the suitable colours. The main bulk of my graft has been simply removing things, stripping, inspecting, cleaning and painting basically. Its very satisfiying actually and this is turning out to be a nice little project. I just keep reminding myself that this is a nice little road car and nothing else haha.

Ive also repaired both rear quaters wth only a small amount of welding left to do. I should be painting the whole car within a week.

I recon another monthand ill be plopping the engine in, i just to perform a few sexual acts on mr austin first to aquire the good :)

Couple of Pics. Ignore the big silly wheels, they are simply there to keep its ass off the floor.

Right I fitted the remaining brake lines on the bulk head,

Parts needed now are.

Rubber Clutch Hose
Polyflex Tie Bar Bushes
Polyflex Bottom Arm Bushes
2x Mk 1 Rear Lamp Conversion plates.
2x Knuckle Joints

This should pretty get the car to suitable stage whereby i can get the engine and start spraying the car.

I also fitted a new boot hinge panel last and removed the remaning rotten bits around the back end. I bit of filling and sanding and im pretty much ready for Primer.

Cheers lad, ive also discovered that the car has deffinately been reverse into a post or something on the drivers side, as when i chopped the hinge panel away i found a fair bit of filler which ran down into the the valance and up the side of the lamp hole.
