Thanks chaps, it's a good moral boost when people appreciate your work! Can't wait to get it running.

Chalkie: It's an intertia switch mate. It cuts power to the fuel pump in a crash.

Nice car, and good idea with the switch. I like the idea of one of those. How much 'banging and crashing' could it take? You wouldn't want it going off when you hit a pot hole?

I had one on the frog - never went off and that was a very stiff car, so lots of crashy bumps.

It takes some shaking about to get it to break the line. And thats why i placed it there....easy to reset if it goes off unexpectedly!

Same, I mounted it so that I could press it without really moving :) My switch also came from a rover from ebay, be funny if it came off a later mini haha

So things are slowing down. Lots of little jobs that seem to take an absolute age! So i'm not going to rush it to finish it this year as the bad weather is already here.

I have been making a few brackets from sheet ally too. And got a ND alternator from matty which will help with space hopefully! :)

Here are a few more up to date pics. Not much has changed, but i have a new plenum from Hywel and will soon have the intercooler pipes sorted.

Intercooler pipes mocked up.

And a bench for the Megajolt/ Edis module and auxiliary fusebox.

Cheers
Dan.

nice work mate, loving the orange and black details. Peronally prefer the black wellers over the reverse coopers, but give them a go and see. They're only wheels, can be changed in a flash.

I like the little details in the car, the brackets, the inertia switch (an idea which i might steal!).

What arches/flares are you running in the second pic in your original post? they match the wellers' width perfectly

Cheers braad, the wheel arches are group 2 wides. The wellers will be staying but im not too sure what colour they will be at the end of it. *happy*
