Right then, Been busy stripping down my other shell yesterday, I'll carry on with that tomorrow. Bingley today, so i've come home with an avonbar billet actuator from Nic, A 1275gt block with a fresh 1380 bore from Mike, and some DSN/Retrosport Billet Rear subframe trunions in the original alloy colour, I was going to buy red originally, but I don't want it all to look like tat, so i'm sticking to raw alloy bits where fitted.
Mr Turbo Phil now has my metro inlet and exhaust manifold & elbow for porting. Makes sense to let the expert do the work and try to make what i've got to work with as efficient as possible.

Should be fine mike, i'm not overly anal about things haha. Done me a favour really, i don't have to take anything bulky to a machine shop being carless.
No problem, I had a look the other day and im pretty sure they are new rings, you'll be able to tell i'm sure!

Hmmmmm, I really like that idea! Proper bright red, satin black roof and arches and other bits, and keeping the bonnet black.

Sooooo tempted......

It's not much fun, it looks best when it's first painted then it's never the same after you wash it. Plus crud sticks easier to it, and i miss giving my car a good polish & wax when the occasion arises. Which is why I'm thinking red again. Loads have said white but i don't think i could live with white paint.

It was red originally. Thinking something like this, all red again? Instead of red/black exterior.

Or all red again? Instead of red/black exterior.
Running out of space to keep the bits off my car now, garage is full, shed is full, bedroom is full, driveway is full. Nightmare!

Has to be one of my favourite clubbies tbh, i just can't find anymore info on it as it's from a while ago. I'm pretty sure somebody mentioned something about that car getting written off before.
My mom used to have a Vermillion red 998 clubman when i was a kid, had very fond memories of that car, my dad also breifly owned a black GT at some point, and pretty much owned mini's for a very long time before that. So I do have a soft spot for the Clubby/GT. Be nice to keep some originality in my car by keeping it the same colour it was registered with, although it won't have much left from when it did. A picture from not long after buying my car. That sunroof got trashed by thieves, and it was heavy :(

Thanks matty, just trying to decipher what red it is, i want something nice and bold. 89 Flame red is what mine used to be but its a tad orangey and darker than i want it.

Due to the pants weather and finding something to do that doesnt involve money I came up with nothing.
So I polished the actuator up quickly that i bought off Nic.
And a pic of my Subby trunions :)

I do like the black, it gives it a cool stealthy look. The red is good too but I think I prefer the black IMO. Awesome car *happy*

Thanks :)
It's probably going to stay black tbh, i have 2L of satin black in the garage leftover from when i blew over the car (wasnt sure how much paint i would need!) So I'll use that up. Staying satin black with a few bits of red here and there and mostly silver bits and pieces. Just keep it tidy looking :)

Got my manifolds back from Phil in very quick time. Can't believe how much difference there is in the T3 elbow just looking at it. Hopefully the manifolds should net me some easy bananas and curly wurlys. May as well optimise what I've got!

Spent some time in the garage today, Cleaned up the faces of my block and started giving it a lick of black paint, also been putting the T3 together after taking it apart to clean it up, had Phil port the manifolds, New actuator but I need to weld two parts of the rod up to make it reach the actuator's thread as the either the avonbar threaded section is shorter or Nic cut it down for where he had it mounted.
Gonna start stripping down the pedalbox and all the random bits and pieces down soon and clean/paint them all. Then start on the subframes I think!
