If your on a major weight saving mission, those rear seat belt mounts on the C posts can be removed completely.

I think Im going to remove them I got it pointed out to me Earlier but originally I didn't because I thought it might damage the outer shell

loose the sound deadening, it's heavier than all the holes you have drilled....

my Curley roof was short.....and then after about 6 months it went milky white......he offered me about £200 in return. I hadn't even fitted the parts and they were kept dry and free from any contaminates.

I vouched from that moment on to never buy curley unless your painting it.

How did you remove the sound deadening from the inside of the rear wing?

Im suprised you didnt replace the parcel shelf with an ally item like the fire wall? Lighter than the bit with all the holes just bond and rivit it in place?

Ps car looks bloody awsome, and are the coilover mounts the ones that come with the protech kit just modified?

He didn't charge me any more for it to be exposed weave that's why i got it I was planning on painting it so if it does go milky I will just paint it then.

I just slightly warmed them George91 and scraped them off

And paul I was originally going to as I have a carbon shelf I might do this next year just wanted to have a play with my swager set

The shock mounts came with the old set of coilovers I had

Took your advice and removed the seat belt points must have nearly been a kg between the two
Also got the boot lid fitted so it’s slowly starting to look like a car again

Nice one, probably a dumb question, but was it much of a pain to remove those panels on the rear pillars?

No wasn't hard should of done it in the first place thinking about it

A small update been collecting bits but not getting anything done very quickly
Front ends on, doors are fitted with mk1 door handles
Collected my beam and arms off Carl yesterday so just need some wheel bearings for the rear disks then trial fit
Jobs I still have to do are move the handbrake and finish off the internal gear linkage then get the thing painted so I can get my collection of parts bolted on.

Very jealous of the beam and arms, and rear brakes actually. that lot will save you a few kgs!

got a little bit more done on the car beams now on the car got to finish the prep then paint
