iv been busy today

was not a nice job but glad iv done it now!

my plan is to stone chip the underside and inner arches, then paint it the same as the body work.
there's a bit of welding to be done first though.

thanks
josh

well progress has been slow as im waiting for a rollcage still. thats a long story though!

here's the small bit of progress thats been done...

rocker cover i got ages ago...

gave it a clean with auto sol

i then decided to cut some holes in my bonnet....

hopefully i will get my rollcage and the few bits of welding done in a week or so.
then i will get the cage in and roll it back on its side so i can stone chip and waxoil the underside. then i can start the "mock up" build!!

thanks
josh

That bar should be fine. That looks like a nicely built cage.

i first ordered from geronimo cages but he was messing me about so i made a claim and got a full refund! so got a safety devices one. i lost abit of time while i waited for my claim etc hence the little progress of late.

im getting the hours in on it now when i can!!

Its the SD one, but the one you buy seperately. I ended up buying the rear with removable diagonal, front, door bars, and dash bar. I think im just going to weld in a harness bar when i get the balls to do it lol.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

well progress has been slow as iv had family commitments but got all the plates welded in now....

iv also planked off the fuel filler neck hole...

just need to tidy the welds up with the good old grinder and a bit of primer on them.

i bought a nice shiny stainless steel exhaust :)

once i get it on its wheels i will get a engine in so i can make the down pipe and hang the exhaust. then i will get the exhaust welded up to how i want it :)

thanks for looking

ok just a small update.

got the rear beam on....

im going to drill the holes for the connecting bars on the rollcage out of the car, as that should be easier.

would of got the radius arms on but needed a rebuild kit and a stub axle as the drivers sides thread is all chewed up.
so thats the next job!! going to be fun! *indifferent*

thanks
josh
