Small Update

Got the roll cage in, firstly putting in my simple bargain basement headliner. It's basically 5mm black dense foam, the type of stuff for padding fuel tanks etc.

Bit of a ballache to cut out to the right shape, but managed to get it to fit so that it tucks in the lip around the perimeter of the roof and is just held at the front with a bit of double sided.

Also mocked up an arch to see what they looked like

6 inches

There is a small amount of tread showing outside the arches, however i'm not fussed. I'll be popping the black rubber trim on the edges also so that may cover a bit more up.

Bit more done

Got my 4 gallon OBP fuel tank in. Basically bridged two sections of alu angle across the boot which the tank sits in, then will use straps to hold it down.

Filter and pump setup will live in the battery box, as the battery is being moved inside the cabin.

Gave up on doing any more though as it's freezing cold in the garage and i can't feel my feet or hands

Got the fuel filter and pump mounted in the boot. Used a simple method, just riveted some off cuts of angle iron to the spare wheel well and then used cable ties to strap the filter and pump on.

Fabricated a little bracket for the fuel pressure regulator and mounted that to the bulkhead

Also put my skateboard grip tape in the footwells. Just waiting on my inline fuel tap and some more fuel hose so i can finish off the fuel system for good.

If I don't fit a low carbon boot floor, your idea for mounting the fuel tank on some angle is definately getting copied. its all Looking good.

The thought crossed my mind to fit a flat carbon floor, the simple reason that i didn't is i couldn't be arsed.

This method is plenty sturdy enough and means the tank can be removed quickly and easily and allows the filter and pump to be mounted underneath it.

I've got coilovers, so can't be arsed with the extra strengthening, bracing and pissing about for the sake of mounting the tank 4 inches lower.

I need to contain my OTD
