Well I called the title'my first turbo' It will be very soon, but Ive put my n/a engine in for the time being, whilst I finish buidling my turbo engine. Anyway here's some more photos of what ive been up to

Some modifiaction required to the alloy rad, as it sits 2cm to high and touches the flip front. Also need to weld on some lugs welding for the custom fan brackets

The plan is now to get the car on the road, Mot'd before fitting the new lump, Im planning on doing mini v bettle at the end of April then engine out.

My current spec engine is

1380cc
Forged Omegas
Miglia Head
Miglia Cam
Weber 45
4.1 Final drive
Quaife Dogbox , ATB diff & Med roller bearing drops
Swifty featherlight Flywheel, Gray, Paddle clutch
Megajolt map with TPS

This engine will be up for sale when the turbo goes in.

Car is almost ready for an MOT, just got to cut down and weld my exshaust tail pipe, to save a bit more wait *happy* . Its now had its basic suspension setup, but I still need to wait for the front end to settle down, as the car sits way to high at the moment, with the hi-lows fully adjusted.

The car tipped the scales at 563kg, with the heavy revo wheels, Ive now fitted my force racing 10x5.5 wheels and A032's and saved another 4.6kg. but I have added 2.6kg back with mirrors, water bottle and pump. So I guess 561kg with n/a engine and 570-575kg with turbo.

Later palns include Carbon fibre seat, Carbon Doors, Protec Shocks, Ti Driveshafts, 550kg for 2012.

All been well I should be on the road and ready for Mini v Beetles at York at the end of the month. Im hoping for a low 14sec with nitrous, maybe a 13?

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Car now Mot'd, Insuranced, Taxed and on the road. Phase 2 turbo engine build and install. Considering swapping my 7 port alloy head from my clubman and going 7 port turbo injection. I may just run a semi standard spec engine with 10 psi until then and enjoy some road miles thoughout the summer. Still maybe 130bhp. No SC gears or drops just 4 pin diff and grey clutch. I'm beginning to think 130 bhp is more than enough for the road. My current engine has 128bhp, but is not very road friendly and terrible in traffic and on fuel.
