I'll be following this thread with interest wil - I've got a couple of sheets of carbonfibre (twill and fishbone weave) and an idea to make an airbox modelled on a modded standard one.

Btw. How did you mount the trumpets to the plenum? Did uou make the holes in the plenum large enough to push the trumpets in or did you insert them through the tb hole?

I made the holes big enough, then
"glassed" them on with the foam still inside.

I understand, I guess I need to do this as well. Did you use high temperature epoxy or is the normal one that is okay up to 120 degrees good enough?

Normal temp stuff. Formula GB from here

The plenum is not directly bolted to the head though. There are a number of gaskets (including a 3mm rubber one) and an inch long alloy section.

I used a company called Fibretech, but their website no longer exists. I have heard good things about http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/default.aspx but can't find the CF cloth tube I used on their site.
