flat shift

Thats what all the doley scrubbers in Barnsley do when they have too many sprogs to fit in their current house.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Still four forward.... what about reverse?
Couple this with the concept 6 (or was it 5) speed box and itll be a winner.

*hehe!* get out and push

Its either, pull cable to engage, Flintstone it, or an electric motor

Ok guys, a bit more detail for you. Yes it has the conventional reverse in situ. The rod change shown in the video is stock, no changes at all, with a standard lever assembly, not quickshift. Reverse is in the standard place.
Flat shifting is easily achieved with the addition of a load cell such as those produced by dynojet for motorcycles. This will need to be linked to an ECU or a bespoke ignition/fuel kill device.
Dove tailed dogs are not a problem provided the shift kill is set appropriately. Our thinking at this time is that an optional gear-position indicator will be incorporated as a cost option.
No prices as yet but the aim is to make it competitive. This is a properly engineered piece of precision kit.
Sorry to leave you hanging but work is continuing as we speak.
More info soon.......

Exactly, just looks like a wind up, carnt see the stick.

It just looks like somones changing gears and so different to normal, anyone can do that with a gearbox.

To be honest is there really any advantage over an h-pattern dog box apart from bragging rights. The only disadvantage I see with an h pattern is the ability to shove it in 1st instead of 3rd.

Thats a big disadvantage if you have got a 10k race motor!

You could also run paddle shift with this.

If you watch the vid closly.. the gearselector rod right at the top goes forward 4 times then back 4 times.

If it was just a normal shift it would be going forward back, forward, back surley?
