obvious choice is to just run an f20c and box out an s2000, but the honda k20 spins the normal way, so with an adapter plate any rwd box will do.

The rear in that drawing looks like a Mk1 Cortina...

Why not find a Dolomite Sprint engine? Then fit a SAAB turbo kit, as it's much of the same isn't it?

just looked at S2000 gearboxs, some over my budget for the full build. so think thats not going to be a option. MX5, BMW or ford set up seem to be the top 3.

problem is now how to fit it in. the gear leaver will be quite abit further back than standard. may have to go for floor mounted pedals so i can move the drivers seat back and get a longer steering column.

Near Paris - France

So Ford it is.

You have to mount it partly over the rack, right ?

That will make the lump quite high if not too high ?

im getting a mondeo sump which should mean i can put the engine over the cross member with the crank pully just behind the rack. Hopful it should clear the bonnet or i'll end up with a intersting bonnect buldge.
I have seen a spitfire with the cross member cut down and boxed back in. pritty sure the spitfire has a lower bonnet line.

we put an 1800cvh in my brothers spitfire, to clear the bonet we had to modify the oil filler cap. that aside it just fitted, by mm's would have thought the bigger zetec lump to be a fair bit taller :S

May well be but I'm sure a spitfire bonnet line is lower than a 13/60 herald. If it does close then I'll just cut the bonnet this projects not about looking nice going for more of a rat/race look. Hole in bottom with ally poprivet panel might look cool! Lol
