hummm, blown a head gasket. I couldn't stop pinking on any boost. Found a few things wrong with fuelling, but just seams to lean off to 18:1 AFR on boost. Needle looks thin already.

Blown head gasket, pinking and 2psi boost. Does that add up? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:

Not at all, boost gauge seems to work ok, all plumbed in right. I have a few tests to do with the fuelling, anf if tat makes no differance then I'll try a different carb.

Right well after lots of tossing around it is now all up and running as it should be, just needs setting up now. I've been struggling since I got it going with variable boost levels, sometimes 15psi plus, sometimes no more than 5psi.

What boost are you running then? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
