Clutch was an ebay special. Verto. more than likely a 998. *hehe!* The clutch pedal is super soft so there's not enough clamping pressure. The clutch has springs in it.
The cam is standard turbo.
I'm changing the timing belt back to chain after reading up about your unfortunate incident with belts Joe C.

Yes, I have to say that's probably a wise move with the belt, I used to swear by them, now I swear at them LOL.

Are you going to go pre verto, or uprated verto.

I'm gonna go for the uprated Verto turbo clucth kit. I want a springless plate though. Is it a 180mm or 190mm that I should go for??

you can use either with the verto,
I'm running the 190mm rally plate, (aht 594?) about 50 quid from minispares.

either this one,

or cobble two standard springs onto one clutch ala RTS

Right chaps.
It's back on the road after the christmas rebuild.
Mg cam, Straight cut drops, 6 plate paddle clutch, Uprated turbo verto diapham, Kent adjustable duplex gears, Omex limiter and a modified dizzy courtesy of HH ignitions.
It's booked for a roller session friday for setting up.
Intercooler will be fitted in a month or so.
All in all I'm happy. *Cloud 9*

That looks great, really like the style of it with the black cosmics. Good luck with the RR.

Sounds good, but surely it makes more sense to fit the cooler then go on the rollers as you'll end up needing it rollering twice??

After the rolling road today it produced 134bhp, 112lbft torque at 6200rpm.
I'm quite pleased with it as I wasn't running much boost.
I'm gonna break it back in for a couple of months and then start givin it some. *happy*

Well here's my intercooler fitted. It was originally a Escort turbo jobbie but I found that the plastic ends fouled everywhere. So I decided to make my own pieces and weld it up at work. The plenum bend was a bit of a bitch to weld as it's cast but wasn't to hard. the hardest bit was polishing the inside of it. The piping is courtesy of 'Kean' (Great bloke).
Gonna give it a couple of weeks and get it back on the rollers to see what difference it has made. *happy* *happy*

Tidy install. Is the intercooler just sitting in there or did you make any mounting brackets?

Spotted this at the minispares open evening last year and liked the sleeper look.

Hi Guys. As you may have already found out from a thread posted today I have blown the Gasket. After getting towed back home by the kind AA man I stripped the top end and this is what I found
