Ive come to love the technical stuff fromm my trials days, however, ive found that my as a newbie, having big legs has given me a short cut getting upthe shit, to really enjoy the fast down hill.
Always run ririgrgrigid at he rear, and leave swing arms to my bikes.

I do quiet a lot of off road I tend to average about 14/15 mph off road which is not too bad IMO. That's a mostly up hill route too. I do a few events in wiltshire and Surrey I have a 12hr night race in may and in September I'm doing the end2end isle of man challenge it's a 75k race across, can't wait! Looking for people to ride with in Surrey (x-country/single trail fun) if any one fancys it's let me know.

Whats the crack with these saddleless bikes on here?? lol (Prawn & Taz)

I once had a friend whose mother rode a bike with the saddle missing. She had a mishap with it and my friend was a miracle baby apparantly. True story that. I kid you not!

Anyhow, heres my 30 year old Raleigh Grifter. I have a few Choppers too.

Hmmm! Well leopard print saddle and pink hand grips look a bit suspect too! Lol!!

Anyhow, I think gay guys are great. Almost all my closest friends are gay. They are sensitive and caring, great to go clothes shopping with and never make sexual advances. All are into classic cars too. Its a great balance!

I like 70's & 80's retro stuff as lived my childhood/ teens through those decades so yes, have a couple of ltd edition Choppers, and a Mk2 under resto as well as this Grifter.

I would love to add a Raleigh Vektar to the collection. That would be my ultimate one 8-).

lol glad to be of service :)

its not a trials bike but a trails bike (although there well known for there trials bikes) its called a 24Mhz it was part of the TV Series which the 26Mhz the trials bike was also a member off. think the idea behind it was to make a big bmx so its got 48 spoke wheels like a bmx high bb and laid back angles.

cant buy them anymore unless you get one 2nd hand. all hand made lovely bit of kit *happy*

mandy i'm one of the strange folk that shops at the vintage shop on digbeth high steet in brum, & a few other places

i spoke to a chap that works at avon park raceway today & he thought it would be a good idea if we got the metros & minis together at the

mini showdown!!!

turbo minis against 1.8 k-series etc, head to head!

i reckon it could work as there are lots of metro owners in the midlunds

Shopping at Vintage shops don't make you strange. Just different! (Well as long as you don't walk around looking like Mike Myers in the Spy Who Shagged Me!!)

Saying that though, I did dress up at a VW show last year in my friends 70's clothing. I wore flares, leather box jacket, paisley shirt and kipper tie. Very Sam Tyler "Life On Mars". We then had a shootout with water pistols. Good day that was. You can do those sort of things at VW shows and no-one bats an eyelid!

Yes, lots of Metro owners in Midlands. Possibly due to the cars being made at Longbridge. Having organised events and clubstands for the aforementioned for several years though I can safely say that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

I was invited to Stratford two years ago with my GTi. I never bothered to do a run though. The place looked derelict. I wasn't keen at all. I'm not a fan of dragstrips tbh. Much prefer circuit racing both as a competitor and spectator.

Nope, don't do Metro Power forum either. Its not a place I comfortably fit into.

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Something odd is going on here. Posts normally digress in to talking about boobs or generally taking the pi$$ out of people that think straight cut gears whine because of oil moving at the speed of sound.

However. Here we seem to have moved from discussing cycling to being gay and vintage clothes. What a refreshing change *wink*

Any way, do continue...
