Guess it would be a good idea to increase my event count to 2 and go for a burn. Got to do better than my 17.6 some how !
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

No offence meant to anyone, but in general it makes me laugh when people come out with statements like "14's should be easy doable" etc.

I just want to come and have a laugh. My aim is for the Metro Van to beat it's 17.9 set by John last year. Should be doable with the addition of the turbo etc On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

I have to agree with Tom here. I spent a hell of a lot on my engine and set up and thought I'd be well into the 13's - the best I could manage was a 14.7 at York Raceway. Could never go quicker than 14.9 at Avon or 15 flat at Santa Pod though. Yet on the road it was a lot of fun, and far quicker than most of the garbage on the road. Its a lot more difficult than you think getting a Mini down into that territory. i know i wont get 14 second 1/4s as my driving isnt going to be amazing. but 14 seconds is what is what im aiming for. id be more than happy with a 15 second run. just the fact that i made it to the end with no problemswould be a great first run ha. all i was saying is with the right driver and no problems my car should be easily capable of a 14 second run. once set up should be about 170bhp and the weight is pretty damn low. we will see but at the end of the day who cares what i get :) its a fooking fun car on the road and track

My car at the rollers event did 162 nanas and weighed 623kg without me In it. Best I did that day was a 14.3@99. I would like to know know how much power it had when I did a 13.4! |
