Joe I found the same, mine started to charge at about 1500RPM, although the 45A alternator did struggle to run all my electrics. On a 5 port it would be fine though.

Oh right, mine idles at 900rpm and you can watch the volt gauge drop to 12volts then when I increase the revs it goes up to 14volts or so. To be honest I think it is my fan that is the thing that just overloads it, before I had the ignition timing set up the engine used to run a little warm so had the fan on alot. Have you put a resistor inthe power supply to the pump to slow it down a tad?

I have not modded the water pump feed. Its pumping 80 liters a minute:) When I turn the fan and pump on after a spirited drive (after stopping the engine) I can actually see the temp gauge falling quickly downwards:) |

Same here its great you can drop the engine temps by 20 degrees odd in a couple of minutes! No more heat soak! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

checking my datalogs it appears mine only goes above 12v above approx 2000 rpm, although the light oly comes on if the revs drop to about 700 rpm.

mine has plenty, had to machine about 10mm of the back face, might need a bit more yet.
