King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

The back end is most definatly MK1, but it has a single (Tower) bolt subframe...

How does that work? Cut and shut?

I'm not knocking your car or your work, it all looks top drawer. *smiley*

mint motor loving it big time, still cant put my finger on it but there are a few anomylies i cant get my head around (for Mk1)

the front bulkhead overlaps the wrong way what i mean to say is where the upper floor pan meets the bulkhead, on Mk1's they were the wrong way and were nortorious for water running down the bulkhead into the floor pans. secondly there is a hole for later gearbox types (this might be present as you cnaged the floor though) and finally you have had to cut a hole where the gearstick should go, you have not replaced this bit and surely it would have been present anyway ? there are further lil bits that i cant get me head around but its all irrealavant anyway as it is a mint build and worthy of recognition matey

(please dont take offence at my post as it is not intended at all fella)

hi all just to let ever one no its a mk1 with wet front subframe which is now dry it has had the genuine panels fited

rear valance
front wings
a panel inner and outer
front panel
1/2bootfloor and battery box
complete floor
rear panels lowerhalf
rear dry subframe

so it might all look a bit odd to the eye but the rest of the shell is genuine

Rest assured it is indeed a nice colour and a fantastic build. So many nice details like the brake plumbing and the engine steadies.

The overlap on the front bulkhead was changed during Mk1 production. Rather early aswell. I seem to remember it was in 60 or 61.

I thought they changed it after weeks or months because everybody was getting wet feet...

you will encounter same issues what ever the cc mate i would go balls out and 1380 it :) good thing about 998 is with mirage manifolds you dont even need to cut the car up to make it fit (i do believe)
