i beleive minitec do them. though alot of lads on the 16vminiclub are using various boot hinges/struts to good effect :) i believe audi hinges are the current hinge of choice, though off which model i dont know :)

Steel fronts are easy to hinge, just use the front subframe mounting points and if you use the original panel they fit perfectly.

Personaly I have never got on with the fibre glass front ends, just not happy with the lines and profile.

hinging from the front is a pain to work over though(had one before i changed to a 2-piece front!)

the hinge under discussion is this type
