a correctly sized turbo will produce the torque, i'd not build it from the 997,then a 1098 will not offer much more over a well build 998 turbo.

Take the 12G295 and fit that on an A+ 998. If the 12G295 has not been skimmed, you will have about 9:1 compression ratio. Having done this for a car I use every day, I would suggest it's the best option. 45mpg 16.2 1/4 mile and drives like a normal car. I even use a verto clutch so it's easy on the left foot. The only issue I've ever had is carb icing. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

STD metro turbo carb i would have thought. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

don't throw out twin's idea, in a mk1, they'll be the littl etrick that'll have an edge over..sure you'll make a nice airtight alloy airbox looking like a genuine one |

Emember although it's a 998 it'll be producing 80 to 90 bhp in mild form, so a 1 3/4 carb is well sized. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
