Now this I like..

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Well this has been a very long time coming, a lot of years have passed since I start building this! But last Wednesday the mini was on the Dyno with the 7 port turbo, had a few set up challenges with the quad throttle body's not giving a clear signal to the map sensor for the ECU but nothing that couldn't be over come.

The limiting factor become the clutch starting to slip as we started to add more advance to the ignition at around 5500rpm. So no final power just yet but from what we have now it looks good to make what I'm hoping for :) As it stands it made 79kw at 6800rpm with only 12deg full advance, after increasing it to 15ish it peaked at around 82kw and around 140nm at 5500rpm then the clutch gave up.. It's running about 14psi boost as we ramp up the tune on it.

Flywheel was out the car that night and sent off the next day to get re-balanced with a new double gray diagram and clutch plate. It also got the strap height cheeked. went back in the car on Friday and finish tuning next week :) Its driving with what we had tuned already but is rich top end as we were starting to lean it out and add ignition to it, still pulls really well though! Lots of wheel spin and torque steer haha

Who said high comp and boost wouldn't won't hasn't used E85 *wink* It is running just over 11:1 comp the car drives better off boost then it use to with the weber on the 5port NA and starts to spool just above 3000 starts to liven up above 3500rpm, sees full boost by 4k comes on very smooth and progresive.

More to come over the next week :) Very happy with how it drives wish I had pulled my finger out a long time ago and got it running *tongue*

Thanks Nathan.

Here is the dyno sheet from the other week. The dips in the power at the top end we are smoothing out, its to do with how the electronic boost controller doesn't hold it exactly at 14psi it dips to 12psi then back up to 14psi then 13psi then 14psi but you cant feel it when you drive it.

Sounds very cool in real life, the iphone doesnt really give it full credit, when driving it you get turbo flutter as you back off  I have a gopro now so will try and get some some vids of it.

There is some new bits to go on, once I get my wheels from Carl :) Rear KAD disk brakes, 6 spot KAD type B calipers with 265mm alloy belled disks, machined down to 245mm to fit under 12by6 focrce racing 3 peace wheels.

After this is on its track time!
Thanks Nathan.

Wow looks great and good hp. I love all the new shiny stuff.

I went out in mine at the weekend, I had forgot what good fun it was.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Now that is a nice brake and wheel combination.
