leeds/wakefield.

the scrub radius in slightly less than a standaerd mini setup, these hubs are based around the metro and has increased king pin angle, thus effextively reducing the said radii.

dont be fooled by the spacer , also ive compensated with my wheel,

the spacer wa sorigionally used to obtain clearance for the big racemaster tyres, but so i didi not have to keep changing them i left them on and made upo a set of wheels to suit,
all this because i can,lol.

and Yes scruffy, not mates to help me out to have to do what i can,lol

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

good idea carl , i wonder if cars with high outset wheels would work better with the metro upright assembly ,making the scrub radius closer to the standard nos ,should work if all the other stuff steering arm etc is ok .

mine does, posted about the positive effect of the metro hub (after setting up the geometry correctly to compensate for the different kpi) many times. only to get shot down by the general opinion that "metro hubs fuck up minis handling"

cooool , and no poxy adjustable ball joints to mess with either .
dennis where you say to account for different kpi ,do you mean just setting camber castor and toe to normal specs ,(with bias for personal preferance of course)

aye, pretty much! i find the ball joints last longer too, however i did struggle to get my last set of balljoints. as its only the very early type that have the correct taper to fit mini suspension arms . so bought a few spare as there getting rare around here atleast!

and carl, links nicely into the topic about certain other mini forums *hehe!*

i had all this completely wrong in my mind , i measured the metro wheel at something like 46mm inset ,so thought the hub must be much more outset than the mini ones ,and the 46mm inset brought the scrub back down again .i must do a bit of research .
