hey didnt wana highjack the post but wanted to get sum feed back on my engine setup that im going with if thats kool from some of the guys on the forum

seems like you have it all sorted. what pistons are you using with a +30 overbore?
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

hey not to sure wat pistons my engine builder was trying to find a set for me will try and post up when i find out, lol being used as a every day road car 20psi would be to insaine i think so if i was to run say 7 to 10 psi am i still gona make good bhp? also i was trying to build this on a budget so kinda skimped on the gbox a big its been cleaned and centre oil pickup put in and packed away till engine finished, how much would a 4pin diff set me back? to behonest im trying to build a reliable everyday car dont wana be blowing things up all day, its going into a 1966 mk1 id post a pic but duno how..? 1966 MK1 1034CC TURBO MINI |

Well with 7 to 10 psi you should make 90 to 100bhp ish, and this will be fine with a standard diff if in good condition. If going for lower boost, then 8.7:1 CR would be better. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

kool sounds like im on track, yea most people said dont run more than 10psi so think ill stick with it at 10psi that would be at the fly wheel right ? 1966 MK1 1034CC TURBO MINI |

At the fly yes. I have a similar spec engine that runs 16.2 sec quarters, which is 0-60 in the low 8s. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

hey i just wanted to no the 202 head off an 1100 wat would that be like on the 998 engine an spec ive listed above would i still have to pocket the block to fit it ? just i dont think im gona find a 295 head so weighing up my options any help would be great. 1966 MK1 1034CC TURBO MINI |

Iirc the 202 has 26cc chambers & a smaller inlet valve than the 295, but can be modified in the same way & is a good head when worked. Edited by Turbo Phil on 21st Mar, 2009. |

ok ok but do u need to pocket the block to use it on a 998 ? i have 1 sitting in the shed but dont wana prep it if its gona take just as much work to put a 940 head on ... 1966 MK1 1034CC TURBO MINI |

It'll fit straight on like the 295. It's only when fitting the 1275 heads that you need to pocket the block. |
