Going to the Nurburgring with it is something that we thought about doing in the next couple of years. Plan was to take the mini's too and get apbellamy's brother to drive this. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Nurbergring is a must do for any petrol head, i went last year.......12 miles of pure violence, did one day at the ring, and afternoon on the Autobahns.... two days racing ultralights at SPA, then a day at Bastogne for some WW2 culture :) I have my Nurbergring sticker to prove it psml.........seems to attract all manner of wanker in corsa's for some reason Edited by Richie on 24th Feb, 2009.

There's no challenge with Richie's golf. It probably wouldn't run long enough for a descent race... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Were not going to paint it with the exception of when we change the front panel and wings. At this time we will be looking for some extra colours for them. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

turbominis sticker? Damn right! If somebody has some spare... It's all ready got 'Benross Racing' on the bodykit If anybody wants stickers on the van, then that's fine. We'll advertise anything. Racing Teams, shops, plastic surgery, brothels, colonic irrigation... Drop me a PM and I'll give you my address. All we ask is a small donation to the cause... Edited by apbellamy on 12th Mar, 2009. As daft as it sounds put a line of tape through the door numbers. For some reason the plod take great exception to door numbers on road cars, I don't know why.

It's only competing rally cars that have to have them crossed out. It's fine on road car's.

Well we have made it to Prague finally. Not without problems however. Van was running very hot on the way into Paris and even hotter on the way to munich. So much so that we ended up having to change the radiator. Fortunately we packed a spare, van now runs nice and cool. This wasn't the end of our problems though. When we got on to a de restricted section of the autobahn we thought it would be a good idea to see how fast the van would go. Cue a blow out at a genuine 100mph!!! I managed to get across 3 lanes of traffic and stop on the hard shoulder without hitting anything or spinning. Dunno why it went as it was a fairly new tyre. Since then things have been going better and we are making good time. Tonight is a few beers in Prague and tomorrow a 600 mile drive to Amsterdam! Wish us luck!!!!
