My setup is a cooper S pulley and damper frm Minispares with a 4mm steel plate bloted to the inside of the pulley. This plate has the 36-1 trigger whhel cut into it. 4 holes were just drilled and tapped into the pulley to fit the trigger wheel. The damper just bolts onto the utside of the pulley as standard.
I use a KAD adjustable sensor mount for the sensor adjustment. It just bolts to 2 of the timing cover bolts and uses the Magnetti Marelli sensor

I use mj on my SC12 supercharged 998

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

On all our 998s, turbo or not we run a damper pulley machined down with a sierra ring slipped over.

Right okay, question: Can the 1275 harmonic damper directly replace my current front pulley as in belts stil line up and stuff? Im only asking because i dont have one to compare and its my daily so..

nobody had any catastrophic failures with M5 bolts holding the trigger wheel on either?

Decided to use the harmonic damper i bought from a colleague at work.
Discovered the other day that Mr. Woodruff key slot is located at TDC on number one do that makes things easyer.
Made a mandrel with a slight interference in the damper bore (25mm) and same in the Trigger wheel (12mm). I then used this to ensure the two components are axially aligned, then clocked the missing-tooth in relation to the woodruff key slot.
Then drilled, tapped for M5 and fixed, (might use 8 instead of 4)
Then ghettoed myself a sensor bracket at 90Degrees dead
(made to clear the fanbelt) with waFer thin clearance about half a MM.
Just need to fit it now, any hints as to engine-in-car fitting? lol..

PS pair of M14 nuts are perfect sensor holders.
PPS welding is better than it looks lol.
PPPS i think it looks badass!

Costa del Northern Ireland :)

So the consensus is to fit a damper pully to a 998. more so because its easyer to fit a trigger wheel and secondly because of harmonics....

consensus thats a hell of a big word for me *happy*

Yes also unsure weather it will clear the engine mount, looks like its going to be mighty tight in there.
